Dr. Ahmad received his medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at New York University School of Medicine.
Dr. Ahmad has earned several honors and awards including the William J Koopman Award for Excellence in research by a resident. His research and writings have been published and presented at conferences throughout his career.
Dr. Ahmad is an avid outdoor enthusiast and enjoys hiking and camping as well as international travel.
