    Professional Background

    Dr. Goins was born in Carrollton, GA, and graduated from high school in Columbus, GA. He attended the University of Georgia for his undergraduate degree and then went to Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine for Medical School. After graduating with the degree in osteopathic medicine, Dr. Goins completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology Fellowship through the Air Force. After completion of his training he served as a staff Cardiologist at Eglin Air Force Base, including 9 months as the theater Cardiologist for Operation Resolute Support in Afghanistan.

    Dr. Goins has authored numerous lectures regarding cardiac irregularities and is board-certified in Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His interests include metabolic management, sports cardiology, and taking care of recreational athletes.

    Dr. Goins is married to his wife and they have 4 sons ages 11, 9, 7, 7. He enjoys water sports, exercise, and watching Georgia football.
