    Professional Background
    Dr. Goins was born in Carrollton, Georgia, and graduated from high school in Columbus, Georgia. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia before attending Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.
     
    Following medical school, Dr. Goins completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology Fellowship through the United States Air Force. Upon finishing his training, he served as a staff Cardiologist at Eglin Air Force Base and was deployed as the theater Cardiologist for Operation Resolute Support in Afghanistan.
     
    Dr. Goins is board-certified in Cardiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He has authored numerous lectures on cardiac irregularities and continues to share his expertise in cardiovascular care. His clinical interests include metabolic management, sports cardiology, and the care of recreational athletes.
     
    Outside of his professional work, Dr. Goins enjoys spending time with his wife and their four sons. He is passionate about water sports, staying active, and cheering on Georgia football.
