Professional BackgroundDr. Adam Buntaine is a dedicated cardiologist driven by a passion for understanding the complexities of cardiovascular health. He grew up in Rochester, NY, and pursued his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering at Duke University. This foundation led him to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for medical school and a residency in Internal Medicine.To further refine his expertise, Dr. Buntaine completed a Cardiology fellowship at New York University, followed by advanced training in Interventional Cardiology at UNC. Board-certified in Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and holding a special certification in Vascular Ultrasound, Dr. Buntaine offers comprehensive care in areas such as Interventional Cardiology, Coronary Angioplasty/Stents, Peripheral Arterial Interventions, and Peripheral Venous interventions.He currently serves as the Medical Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Northside Hospital Cherokee. Above all, Dr. Buntaine is committed to delivering exceptional care to patients with cardiovascular disease. Outside of his professional life, he is married with two children and enjoys spending time with his family, participating in sports, and cycling.
