Professional Background
Dr. Harsh Patel is an interventional cardiologist who is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, nuclear cardiology, interventional cardiology, and adult echocardiography. Dr. Patel received his medical degree from the Georgia Campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine after graduating from The University of Georgia. He completed his internal medicine residency, followed by fellowship in cardiology at Rowan University in Stratford, NJ where he served as chief intern, resident, and fellow. After Dr. Patel’s time at Rowan University, he then finished his fellowship in interventional cardiology at Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ.
Aside from treatment of coronary artery disease, Dr. Patel is passionate in performing procedures to treat peripheral vascular disease as well as structural heart procedures including catheter-based valve replacement called transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
Dr. Patel is married to his college sweetheart and together they have one daughter and two dogs. In his spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys family time, cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves, watching Formula 1 racing, exercising, and his new hobby of DIY projects and woodworking.
