Professional Background
Dr. Carlos Calle-Muller received his medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Peru. He was among a select group of physicians recruited directly from his program in Peru to complete his Internal Medicine Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his Fellowship in Cardiology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI. Dr. Muller served as the Chief Cardiology Fellow. Following his fellowship, Dr. Muller moved to Atlanta to complete a Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at Emory University, where he also served as Chief Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellow.
Dr. Muller is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Comprehensive Echocardiography, and Cardiac Electrophysiology. Dr. Muller’s extensive training will allow him to utilize the newest technologies including the implantation of leadless pacemakers, subcutaneous implantable defibrillators, ablation of simple and complex arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation, and left atrial appendage occluding devices. He is also trained in stress testing, invasive and non-invasive cardiac ultrasound, short- and long-term cardiac monitors.
Dr. Muller’s top priority is to improve the quality of life for each patient by improving their health. Dr. Muller is married with two children. He enjoys taking long walks and traveling with his family.
