Lisa Spaulding grew up in South Dakota and then moved to Edmonton, Canada to obtain her Diploma in Nursing from the University of Alberta. After receiving her degree Lisa moved to Georgia and began her career at Emory, initially on an open-heart cardiac unit. Lisa’s interest and passion for cardiology allowed her to move into the open-heart surgery ICU, during this time she completed both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing from Emory. From her education and experience, Lisa moved into the Heart Failure and Transplant department as a cardiac transplant coordinator.
After making a transfer to the Cartersville area and having a family, Lisa had the opportunity to work in a few cardiology clinic positions. After diversifying her skills and knowledge, Lisa has been practicing as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner for the past several years. Of her 35+ years in nursing, Lisa has been involved in all facets of cardiac care allowing her to have a unique view when treating patients.
Lisa enjoys her two dogs, good food- especially Indian, and spending time with family and friends.
