Professional Background
Professional Background
Dr. Bhatt received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia after graduating summa cum laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at the University of Miami / Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, where he was honored as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Bhatt has presented his research at the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology Scientific Sessions and has authored numerous journal articles and book chapters. He is board-certified in internal medicine, general cardiology, and interventional cardiology. Dr. Bhatt is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Bhatt served as the course director of the Cherokee Cardiovascular Summit. Dr. Bhatt is also the Chairman of Section of Cardiology for Northside Cherokee Hospital. Dr. Bhatt pioneered coronary angioplasty and stenting at the Northside Cherokee Hospital. His expertise includes interventional cardiology, general cardiology, advanced lipidology, and vascular medicine.
Dr. Bhatt has served as the medical advisor for the Hollywood Health Society, providing his medical expertise to television programs including This is Us, Greys Anatomy, and Days of Our Lives. Dr. Bhatt is married with two children. He enjoys metabolic and strength training as well as outdoor activities with his family.
