Professional Background
Ashley is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner who received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valparaiso University in 2006. During her undergraduate years, she competed on the swim team and was in the nursing honor society, Sigma Theta Tau. Ashley began her career in the cardiac critical care and heart transplant unit at Loyola Medical Center in Chicago, IL. Desiring to be nearer to family, she transitioned to the Interventional Cath Lab at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in 2008 when she and her husband moved to Georgia.
With a desire to continue her education, Ashley graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2012. During this time, she also worked with pulmonology patients and utilized her expertise within the cardiopulmonary realm. Over the past 4 years Ashley has managed a wide array of patients in observational medicine at EJCH.
Ashley and her husband have 2 young daughters, and a rescued dog and cat. She enjoys attending Shadowbrook Church and volunteers at Obria. In her spare time, she stays busy with her family and friends.
